Huawei P20 Analysis
The Huawei P20 has been one of the most talked-about smartphones in recent times, and with good reason. Boasting a sleek design and a range of impressive features, this device has managed to win over the hearts of many tech enthusiasts across the globe.
Design
The P20 series comes in a range of different colors. The P20 lite is available in Klien Blue and Midnight Black. Whereas the P20 and P20 pro are available in a great range of colors. The range offers Morph Aurora, Pearl White, Twilight, Black, Champagne Gold, Pink Gold, and Midnight Blue. This is something we really like about the P20 as it allows users to personalize their smartphone a bit more.

One thing to consider when buying a P20 is that the design lacks a 3.5mm Headphone Jack. This can be frustrating for those without wireless headphones, so keep this in mind when if you are looking to purchase this smartphone. The phone also lacks water resistance qualities that its competitors such as the iPhone 8 and Samsung Notes have. However, the phone does still have a fingerprint scanner ensuring security from unwanted visitors.
Display
All three models have beautiful and Crisp Screens. The P20 and P20 Lite both have 5.8 inch LCD Screens in full HD at 1080 x 2240 Pixels. Whereas the pro has a slight improvement, with an OLED full HD screen at 6.1 inches. All models give a sharp display that is pleasing to the eye.
Camera
This is something that we were very impressed with. Across all models, the P20 has a great camera for their price range. Camera capabilities are essential in this day and age, and the P20 is built with this in mind. The advancement of Smartphones has seen their cameras continuously improving. Huawei’s partnership with Lecia (camera manufacturer) supports the claim that they have designed the phone to be camera focused.

The P20 Pro model is particularly impressive packing a powerful triple lens system. A beautiful combination of a 40 MP AI image stabilization main lens, 20 MP monochrome, and 8 MP telephoto, delivers detailed images. The camera also has 3 x optical zoom which can be furthered to 5 x zoom digitally. Its low light performance is something else we really liked, with a f/1.8 aperture you will be able to take snaps well into the night.
In comparison, the P20 and P20 lite do not quite match the P20 Pro’s camera. However, they do still have a dual camera system combining a 12 MP main lens and a 20 MP monochrome lens.
The front camera on all models equips a 24 MP f/2.0 camera which is great for all your selfie needs.

Software and Processor
All models support the latest Android 8.1 with Huawei’s own EMUI built on top. The EMUI runs smoothly and quickly and has a few neat AI features as the software develops. The software skin has an iOS feel to it, with no app draw much like other android phones.
All models pack a powerful 2.36GHz processor, making it perform excellently with highly demanding applications and game. The P20 has a slight step up from the other models with 6GB of RAM. Whereas, the P20 and P20 Lite only have 4GB.
Storage
The P20 Lite comes with 64GB of internal storage. Whereas the P20 and P20 Pro come with 128GB of internal storage.

Battery
The battery on the Pro model is what we were particularly impressed by. With 4000 mAh, Huawei state it should last up to 25 hours of talkback time. Though this will likely vary with usage. Paired with Huawei’s AI technology for power management, it should last a good amount of time. Huawei also has introduced SuperCharge technology that will charge your device extremely quickly. So if it does run out before you want it too, it won’t take long to get it back to full charge.
However, the P20 and P20 Lite only have 3400 mAh and 3000 mAh, respectively. This meets the market standard when compared to other smartphones.
One thing that we do find that the Huawei P20 lacks is wireless charging capabilities like its competitors such as Samsung. This is something to maybe take into consideration this Black Friday if you are looking to buy the Huawei P20.
