Drawing tablets, also called pen or graphics tablets, are devices that convert designs you create by hand in the physical world into a digital format. There are two major types:
Monitor dependent – These drawing tablets need to be plugged into a computer in order to function. When you draw, the designs appear on whatever program you are running on your computer.
Built-in Monitor – These graphics tablets connect to your computer and mirror it’s display, allowing you to draw directly on the tablet screen into your chosen software. This allows for a more realistic experience, but they are often more expensive.
