Cozmo Robot Black Friday Deal Predictions for 2023
Ever since this little robot was released 2 years ago, we’ve been tracking the best Black Friday Cozmo deals year on year and where to find them. As such, we have a pretty good idea of what Cozmo discounts to expect for 2023. Last year we saw around 30% off on Black Friday, which was also similar to the year before. So we think there is a good chance for more of the same for 2023.

One factor that could influence this, however, is the release of several new products from Anki. First off is the Cozmo Collectors Edition in Black, which counter to what you might expect was discounted last Black Friday by around 20%. This model was also reduced during a pre-Christmas flash sale to 43% lower than the current RRP at the time of writing! There is also another Cozmo Collectors Edition in Interstellar Blue coming out Nov 3rd which could see similar discounts, as well as a new premium robot from Anki called Vector.
So what do all these new products mean for Cozmo Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales? Essentially, we are just unsure of where Anki will concentrate the discounts. Based off what we’ve seen in the past, we think at least some robots in the line will have money taken off, though it might not be all of them. What’s the Cozmo Robot All About?
Cozmo is an educational robot designed to provide kids and adults alike an introduction to the world of robotics and coding. Cozmo has hundreds of voice tones, emotions and moods that really make him so life like. What’s more, AI technology enables Cozmo to learn and evolve the more you play with him, so the whole experience becomes that bit more personal. For example, the facial recognition software and camera enable Cozmo to recognize you and he can learn your name!
Aside from playing games and hanging out, you can also get a great introduction to the world of coding with Code Lab. This platform allows kids (or adults!) to create programs by simply dragging graphical drops representing code into a sequence and then executing them. In Sandbox Mode you can learn the very basics, like how to drive Cozmo in different directions and control his speed. You can also control different actions, such as using his lift, or animations.

Intermediate Coding
For those that already have some understanding of the fundamentals, Constructor Mode in Code Lab allows you to step things up a notch. The blocks are a little more complex than Sandbox mode and you can create more advanced programs, which enables learning about coding concepts like loops, variables and functions. Advanced Coding
Graphical-based coding is great for beginners who want to learn the basics, but it does have its limitations, as more complex programs can become inefficient and buggy. For this, text-based coding is necessary, made possible with the Cozmo Software Development Kit. This platform enables you to write programs for Cozmo in Python – a language commonly used in industry for software development.
The SDK really takes Cozmo to the next level. Anki give access to high-level functions and all sensors, plus he can be connected to tons of third party APIs from Google, Instagram, Twitter, Hue and more. Some Considerations When Buying Cozmo on Black Friday
Cozmo sure is a fantastic toy and learning kit for kids and adults of all ages. We definitely think he’s a worthwhile investment, though Black Friday Cozmo robot deals could make things a little more affordable! That said, there are a few minor downsides to the robot. For example, he does not have on-board WIFI connectivity and his processor is rather small, so requires a companion device to function.
It’s only a small gripe, but if you think this might be an issue for you perhaps check out the key differences in Anki’s new Vector robot, as he has been upgraded to include this missing functionality.
